FORKLIFT WITH TELESCOPIC MAST (8 hours)

(training held at MANULIFT's, with MERLO and SKYTRAK equipment)

This training is offered to operators who already followed thebasic forklift training and who have a good forklift experience.

At the end of this course, the participant will be able to estimate the weight of a load, to operate a forklift with telescopic mast safely, to understand the basic principles as well as the risks related to the machine; the participantwill also know how to perform a basic inspection and how to move loads safely.

 

Educational approach

• Prior to follow this training, the participant must have
  the forklift certification.
  
  
• Theoritical presentation and hands-on workshops.
  
  
• Written exam and practical evaluations.
  
  
• Day, evening or week-end classes.
  
  
• This certification is valid for 3 years.
  
  

This training meets CSA B335-04 / ASME B56.1standards and Health and Safety regulations (article 256.3).

NEW FORKLIFT OPERATOR (8 hours)

At the end of this course, the participant will be able to
estimate the weight of a load, to operate a forklift safely,
to understand the basic principles as well as the risks related
to the machine; the participant will also know how to perform
a basic inspection and how to move loads safely.

Educational approach

• Theoritical presentation and workshops teaching.
  
  
• Written exam and practical evaluations.
  
  
• Day, evening or week-end classes.
  
  
• This certification is valid for 3 years.
  
  
• Training fees are acceptable as tax credit for
  the private individuals.

This training meets CSA B335-04 / ASME B56.1 standards and Health and Safety regulations (article 256.3).

PRECISION FORKLIFT OPERATOR (4 hours)

In some industries like aerospace or chemicals,
handling materials must be performed by very competent
forklift operators in order to avoid serious accidents or
loss of genuine and expensive pieces of equipment.
Thus, those positions are usually well remunerated.

Training objectives:

• help the forklift operators to reach a higher level
  of competency in handling materials;
• help the forklift operators to become more efficient;
• help the forklift operators to be in control of specific
  handling materials situations;
• help the forklift operators to take safe decisions.

This training relies on workshops and covers the following
subjects:

• estimation of the weight of the load,
• locate the center of gravity,
• efficient use of the point de pivot,
• use of the «clutch-brake» pedal,
• moving different loads on a rough terrain ,
• moving unstable loads;
• driving in tight places,
• safe lifting / rigging.
